Domestic travel

Most states have implemented some level of stay-at-home regulations, and several have prohibited visitors from other parts of the country. Some states have rules in place requiring travellers from other states, with high rates of COVID-19, to quarantine for 14 days or to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
The wearing of masks is mandatory in all types of public transport, including planes and trains.

International travel

The United States requires a negative PCR test for all passengers arriving from other countries, the presence of a negative result will be checked before boarding flights. The test must be done within 3 days prior to entry. Also, a quarantine for people arriving in the country from abroad is imposed.
The United States has restricted the entry of all foreign nationals who have visited China, Iran, the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or Brazil in the last 14 days.

To enter, you need one of the medical documents:
• certificate of full vaccination from COVID-19
• certificate of a negative PCR test (you need to do it within 72 hours before entry) or a negative rapid antigen test (within 48 hours before entry)
• confirmation of the disease-a positive PCR test or an express antigen test confirming the disease in the interval of 15-180 days before the trip
This does not apply to children under 12. Since July 8, the presence of vaccination at visitors from the Russian Federation, Spain and Cyprus does not exempt from taking a PCR test.

Yes, a general nationwide lockdown is imposed. Travelling by boat, train, bus, or aeroplane across the country is prohibited until further notice. Catering work is limited: you can only sit outdoors, no more than 6 people at the table, closing - no later than 23:00.

Entry requirements

All passengers must meet one of the following criteria:
• A PCR test is required, must be done 72 hours before arrival. You can also take a rapid antigen test in 48 hours. Another PCR test on arrival. No later than 24 hours before departure, you need to fill out the Passenger Locator Form and indicate the details of your residence in Greece.
• Hold a vaccination certificate. At least 14 days should elapse from the moment of the second dose of the vaccine.
• Have proof of recovery from COVID–19.
• Hold the EU digital COVID certificate.

The country has been opening its borders to vaccinated people from all over the world since June 7.
If you fly to Spain, it is mandatory to fill in a Health Control Form (FCS) associated with your trip.
All passengers who come from a high-risk country or area in relation to SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus must present, in order to enter Spain, a certificate with a NEGATIVE result from a PCR test (COVID-19 RT-PCR), TMA test, or other test based on equivalent molecular techniques, carried out in the 72 hours before arrival.
Spain permits entry without additional restrictions to travellers from the following countries: Australia, China, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, and Thailand

Restrictions at the regional or local level

The authorities have divided Turkey into 4 colour zones according to the risks of COVID-19: blue, yellow, orange and red. The map will be updated every week, you can find it here. Turkish citizens and residents must request a HES (Hayat Eve Sigar) Code for domestic and international flights, train and ferry travel. The HES code is also required when checking into accommodation including hotels, motels, boarding houses, pensions, camps etc.

Additional information

Cafes and restaurants can receive visitors from 7:00 to 21:00, delivery can work until 00:00. Also, from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 21:00, gyms and amusement parks will be open.

Entry requirements

International Passengers are required to fill in the Turkey Entrance Form which can be obtained here within 72 hours of their departure. Print out or the mobile screenshot of the filled form will have to be submitted to airline crew before boarding. Passengers aged 6 years and over arriving in Turkey are required to submit a negative PCR test. The sample for the test must have been taken within 72 hours prior to the passenger’s scheduled departure from the country of origin. Vaccinated tourists, instead of a PCR test, can provide a certificate of complete vaccination in English with the data of a foreign passport. At least two weeks must pass from the moment of vaccination. Recovered tourists can provide a certificate certifying that they have had coronavirus and have recovered within the last 6 months, provided that the first positive PCR test was done no earlier than 28 days before entering Turkey. The second required document is a certificate of a negative result of an antigen test conducted no earlier than 48 hours before entering Turkey.

Quarantine on arrival

Passengers who have visited Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka during the 14-day period before traveling to Turkey must not only provide a negative test no older than 72 hours, but also undergo quarantine for two weeks and then re-pass the PCR test. Passengers arriving from Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as passengers who have been in these countries within the last 14 days, must be quarantined for 10 days.
